Robert “Bob” Leggett Award
Body
EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
This award recognizes an employee at a Town business who goes above and beyond in his or her role to make a difference in the Vienna community.
If you knew the late Robert “Bob” Leggett, you knew he loved Vienna. Bob was a longtime Vienna resident, volunteer, and chair of the Town Business Liaison Committee (TBLC). Bob was a friend to the business community and a problem solver by nature. He made it a point to foster collaboration between the TBLC, the Town of Vienna Economic Development Department, and the community at large.
The TBLC created this award in Bob’s memory to recognize employees at Town businesses who embody his spirit of service, commitment to excellence, and kind, collaborative heart.
Nominations for this award ended on March 1.
Criteria for the award include, but are not limited to, the following:
• An employee who provides a consistently high level of customer service to clients.
• An employee who actively represents the business or organization in a positive manner within the Town of Vienna.
• An employee who committed a singular act that positively impacted one or more Town of Vienna businesses or residents.
• An employee who developed and/or executed an innovative program that positively impacts the community.
The TBLC will review award the nominations and choose the award winner during this meeting. The winner will be recognized at a Town Council meeting and/or the Thrive Awards in May 2024.
