EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Each year, a real estate tax rate is recommended as part of the Town Manager’s proposed budget for the coming fiscal year. This request is to set a public hearing for April 29, 2024 in order to provide for public input on the proposed real estate tax rate for fiscal year 2024-25.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend setting a public hearing for April 29, 2024, regarding the fiscal year 2024-25 real estate tax rate.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend setting a public hearing for April 29, 2024, regarding the fiscal year 2024-25 real estate tax rate.
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: In accordance with the Virginia state and Town Codes, the Town Attorney recommends setting a public hearing to receive public input on the proposed FY24/25 Real Estate Tax Rate.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council set a public hearing for April 29, 2024 regarding the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 real estate tax rate, as presented.
