Discuss Alternative Uses for Approved 380 Maple MAC Project

BACKGROUND SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW:
The 380 Maple MAC rezoning project was approved on June 17, 2019. The project was approved with up to 7,500 square feet of ground floor retail and 37 residential multi-family condominiums. The owner of the property would like to discuss potential other uses for the project, which may differ from what was approved and proffered.
SUMMARY/STAFF IMPRESSIONS: The owner of the property proffered and the Town accepted retail and multi-family uses with the project. Per Section 15.2-2302 of the Code of Virginia, the owner is able to amend the proffers with a different use. A change of use does require a public hearing before Town Council, advertised pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia.
